The earth is dying even faster as we waste our time just burning fossil fuels each day,

Alternative energy is all around us but CEO’s don’t want to cut their pay,

Ice caps are melting species dying clean water impurifying at alarming rates,

Our politicians never listen to reason because the margins of profit aren’t great,

They pick the pocket of the poor to feed the rich and starve our children until its too late,

Mean while they tell us to “be grateful, patriotic, stand up for the anthem you ingrates,”

The police are out of control killing our brothers for no reason getting time off paid,

The media feeding the fire with their spin to fit the agenda of spreading hate,

They want division to ease their control on us so that we don’t rise up and change our fate,

The time is now to stand up proud together and shout, “Equality is what makes us great!”
